Fans, support your team even more if they lost!!!

I haven’t watched football last night (not a fan of a game itself), but this morning, I’m once more proven that people have so much to improve...

Euro 2020 finals, Italy vs England

It's absolutely disgusting to hear how fans who were supposed to SUPPORT the team in the first place picked 3 darker skin players and abused them for ‘losing the game’.

These young adults (23,21,19) should be only praised for their achievements, not abused. I am deeply embarrassed by the society we live in. (What were you doing at that age? Just wondering…)

I never thought anything related to football would make me tear up, but when I saw the footage of a young man crying after missing the goal with such disappointment in himself, I teared up. And having heard the headlines about racial abuse on top of it, I cried.

It’s painful to realise how much people need to be educated on what we should all possess naturally — compassion.

These players are already beating themselves up, I’m sure. Imagine the pressure of the whole country putting their hopes at a handful of people as if it was a life and death situation (it is not). For some people, it’s difficult to realise that this is a game, not an actual war…).

These players know that you were counting on them! They know, and they already feel terrible to have let you down!

If you’re an actual fan of the team — you should be SUPPORTING THEM EVEN MORE THAN IF THEY HAD WON!

Instead, they're getting racial abuse from all over the county…

I have no words.

A really sad day for England, and it’s not because of a lost game.
